- Adult Volunteers are required to perform 3 hours of service per week for a minimum of six months
- The first step is to attend a 2-hour Volunteer Orientation and information session which is offered several times per month.
- Each orientation is limited to 25 people.
- Call the Volunteer Office today at 203-852-2023 to reserve your space.
- Following your orientation session you will be given an appointment for a personal one-on-one interview with the Director of Volunteer Services to discuss the perfect assignment for you.
Before beginning your volunteer assignment, an application, health reference form, confidentiality agreement and PPD tuberculin (TB) screening will need to be completed. PPD screening is provided free of charge to volunteers. CT State law requires that any person working or volunteering in a health care facility to be tested twice for TB
- There will be follow-up evaluations during the initial commitment to ensure that you are happy with your volunteer assignment and the Volunteer Program.
